Hi guys! Welcome to my first post in the month of February. I feel like time is running too fast, or is it just me? Anyway, I'm back with another beauty review for an eyeshadow & lip color dalam bentuk sticks. This time is from VOV Make-Up.

Nama product'nya adalah ALL DAY STRONG LIP COLOR untuk lips dan ALL DAY STRONG EYE COLOR untuk eyeshadow sticks'nya. Belakangan kayaknya memang mulai banyak bermunculan eyeshadow dalam format sticks seperti ini deh. No wonder, karena selain karena emang praktis banget, biasanya eyeshadow dengan format seperti ini juga jauh lebih tahan lama dibanding eyeshadow powder pada umumnya, karena formulanya yang waterproof.
And comes to a shock to me, ternyata bukan hanya dari western make-up brand, tapi juga ada Korean make-up brand yang ngeluarin product dengan format seperti ini. Yes, for those of you yang belum pernah denger brand VOV sebelumnya, VOV is actually a Korean brand under LG Household & Health Care company yang focus di color make-up as their products. I'd say this brand is more to providing professional make-up products with bolder colors and thus is not your typical skin-care or skin-care-based make-up Korean brand.
Sebagai perkenalan ke product terbaru dari VOV ini, aku sempet diundang oleh VOV dan Clozette Indonesia ke acara Blogger Gathering VOV di Beauty Lounge Seibu Grand Indonesia hari Kamis 2 February 2017 lalu. Acaranya intimate banget dengan dihadiri 10 orang beauty bloggers, dan di acara tersebut kita dijelasin soal seluk beluk tentang product All Day Strong Lip & Eye Color ini sekaligus coba-coba langsung product'nya sambil nonton live make-up demo yang membahas tips & trik dan cara pemakaian.

Ternyata selain praktis dan gampang banget dipakenya, product ini juga fungsinya banyak banget dan bisa digunakan untuk macam-macam keperluan make-up. Jadi tidak hanya bisa digunakan sebagai eyeshadow dan lipstick, tapi product ini juga bisa digunakan untuk alis, highlight, blush on, sampai face contouring. WOW.

Going straight into the review, let's dive in to the packaging first.
PACKAGING
PACKAGING
The packaging is simple with black dove packaging and black lid, and I'm happy that they put the product colors in the retractable part of the pencil. Sehingga dari luar bisa langsung kelihatan warna product'nya yang mana. Again, I hate when companies make products yang ngga kasi keterangan warna di bagian luar packagingnya jadi kalau mau liat warna productnya harus dibuka dulu satu-satu. Kelamaan nyarinya shayy :p

ALL DAY STRONG LIP COLOR
Too bad I missed to swatch one shade (lol clumsy me) which is 'Smoke Red', padahal Smoke Red ini jadi salah satu shade yang aku pilih untuk aku ambil. Soo dari 7 warna di atas, we got to choose 2 shades untuk dibawa pulang sebagai goodie bag dan untuk dicoba dipake sehari-hari. Dan warna yang aku pilih adalah Peach Cream dan Smoke Red
Pardon some differences at the swatch photos, karena lighting'nya beda banget. Swatch photo sebelumnya yang lebih lengkap was taken during the event dengan kondisi romantis remang-remang, jadi mungkin semua warnanya akan terlihat lebih warm dari aslinya :p
I chose Peach Cream karena aku belum punya lip color yang warnanya peachy to orange seperti ini. The other peach colors that I have warnanya cenderung pucat dan ngga vibrant. But this one has a vibrant color jadinya fresh banget tanpa terlihat too orange. sooo me likey! Sedangkan untuk Smoke Red aku pilih karena I like the brick/brown undertone di warna merahnya, jadi walaupun merah tapi ngga kayak cabe. Jarang lhoo ada brick red yang masih kencengan di warna merahnya dibanding brown/brick'nya sendiri sehingga hasilnya ngga terlalu gelap.
By the way, I actually have another color yang juga aku suka banget dan sempet aku consider untuk bawa pulang which is the 'Magentasome' -- now into my wishlist!!

Texture dari All Day Strong Lip Color ini agak creamy, dan hasil akhir dari pemakaiannya adalah sheer-matte. Jadi sekilas memang terlihat seperti matte tapi you can see a little bit of creamy-ness & satin finish to it (just a little bit). Aku personally untuk sehari-hari lebih suka pake lip color dengan texture seperti ini dibanding pake lip color yang texture'nya very matte, karena bibir aku cenderung kering, dan gampang banget jadi kering. So this kind texture is really friendly to my lips, karena ngga bikin bibirku jadi kering, dan ngga bikin bibir terlihat wrinkling kayak kertas juga.
Untuk ketahanan, emang product ini bukan tipe lip product yang transfer-proof or even kiss-proof, dan the color does fade away. After a couple of hours, the color is not as intense as waktu pertama kali di apply. Tapi asal ngga makan makanan yang berminyak, it does stay on the lips sampe berjam-jam.
ALL DAY STRONG EYE COLOR
Looking at those colors, you can imagine that it was quite a hard time to choose what colors to bring home. Untuk Eye colors, aku boleh pilih 3 warna untuk aku bawa pulang, dan akhirnya aku pilih warna-warna yang aku jarang lihat di eyeshadow stick kayak gini. I chose Silver Salt, Deep Orange, and Purple Rising.
Silver Salt -- I chose this color karena warnanya silver banget dan very intense, I imagine warna ini bakal sering aku pake untuk inner-corner highlight, because I like my inner corner poppin out.
Deep Orange -- Aku jarang banget lihat eyeshadow orange dengan pigment yang se intense ini. So I would like to try to pop this di bagian tengah eyelid aku when creating warm eye make-up.
Purple Rising -- no particular reason, simply waktu liat warnanya bagus banget dan aku juga belum punya juga eyeshadow stick dengan warna yang kayak gini, jadilah dibungkus :p
The first thing yang paling aku notice dari product ini dari pertama kali coba is the pigmentation. This product is sooo pigmented, 1 swipe is already enough untuk sampe level pigmentation yang aku expect. Dan texture'nya juga very creamy and buttery, although I notice untuk beberapa warna khususnya yang lebih glittery/shimmery, texture'nya sedikit patchy, not as smooth as I expected.
And just like any other waterproof eyeshadow stick, ketika aplikasi product ini harus cepet-cepet di blend karena kalau udah mengering texture'nya akan jadi keras dan akan jadi susah bgt or even impossible to blend. I'd suggest to work on one eye at a time or even one color at a time if you plan on using 2-3 colors from this range of product on the eyes. Tapi bagusnya kalau sudah kering ya eyeshadow ini akan tahan seharian di mata kita ngga akan luntur terkena keringat or even oils dari kulit yang berminyak. It really is waterproof and it really really stays all day even without using eye primer.
*PS. If you choose to buy warna Nude Foundation, selain fungsinya to create matte eye look, you can also use this as transition color and even for contouring karena texture'nya yang matte dan warnanya yang cool-toned!
And by the way I created a bright look using some of the VOV products.
I used the silver eye color for the inner corner highlight, dan untuk bibirnya aku pake warna Peach Cream seluruh bibir aku dan Smoke Red di bagian tengah to create ombre lips. Really like how the lips turned out to be!
PRICE & WHERE TO SHOP
The price point for this products is actually reasonable. Harganya Rp 175,000 each untuk Eye & Lip. Dan masing-masing product ini has a net weight of 1.4g, which is pretty standard. Also, a little goes a long way, cuma perlu sedikiiit banget product setiap kali pemakaian, jadi menurut aku sih bakalan lama banget abisnya.
